2021 Daily Devotion - Day 319

“God's love is like an ocean. You can see its beginning, but not its end.” - Pastor Rick Warren

So many people think the love of God has a limit. This is probably because we have so many limits. Too often, we love others based on conditions. We are impatient with people and find it extremely difficult to love unconditionally. Therefore, we think the same must be true for God, but it is not. His love is entirely unconditional. He just loves you. And because of His great love, He is always trying to move us closer to Himself and His will for our lives. I often say that He loves us too much to leave us as we are. But still, at the end of the day, the love of God for you is endless, and He proves it in Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:4-5 ESV
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—

Pray with me:
Heavenly Father, in a world where love is so often based on conditions, it is challenging to understand Your unconditional love for us. This is why You became a man in Jesus, died and was raised from the dead; to rescue us and show us Your great love. Open our hearts and minds to the unconditional love You have for each of us this day. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Yours because of Him,
Pastor John R. Steward
