2021 Daily Devotion - Day 314
“Pessimism never won any battle.” – Dwight D. Eisenhower
This former five star general and president should know. He led American and allied troops in Europe during WWII. He led the campaign of to invade Normandy. The victory of the Battle of the Bulge was a major tipping point in the war and they ultimately defeated Germany.
When you think about it, this quote is very accurate. Negativity and fault-finding are never really helpful. They just make things more difficult. So, keep your head up and be a person of hope.
Romans 5:5 ESV
And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
Pray with me:
Heavenly Father, as Your love is poured out in our lives through the Holy Spirit, give us greater hope. Remind us that in Christ, we have a victory over “sin, death and the power of the devil”. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
