2020 Daily Devotion - Day 245

For over 30 years, Mahatma Gandhi worked and struggled for the independence of India from Great Britain. It was a long and difficult journey. His nonviolent movement helped to inspire Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., so Gandhi knows something about having to wait for better days to come.

"To lose patience is to lose the battle.” — Mahatma Gandhi

Psalm 40:1 ESV
A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry.

You can hang in there, because God has promised not to abandon you. The good news is this can be a time where we grow and learn greater lessons of God’s faithfulness to us. So keep putting one foot in front of the other. He always keeps His promises.

Pray with me:
Heavenly Father, sometimes we grow weary and tired, however, You never do. Therefore, because You always remain strong, help us to wait with patience through this season. Give us greater patience for these challenging days of the Coronavirus. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Yours because of Him,
Pastor John R. Steward
