2020 Daily Devotion - Day 216
Kevin Truett once spoke of his childhood in this way: “Oftentimes as a teenager, I would look at our family photos and complain that I looked terrible. My father would quickly reply, ‘If you want a better picture, bring a better face.’”
His father wasn’t trying to teach him how to take a better picture, but rather the need to have a better attitude. We decide the attitude we are going to have. No one makes us respond in any certain way. It is a choice we make every day. This is what the Apostle Paul means in these words:
Philippians 2:14 ESV
Do all things without grumbling or questioning.
We can do this. We can choose to not grumble and complain or question today.
Pray with me:
Heavenly Father, help us to stop grumbling and complaining. It doesn’t help us or the ones around us. Give us eyes of faith, looking for the good You are doing, even now. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
