2020 Daily Devotion - Day 160
There are many books written about “self-help”. The idea is you can solve your problems if you just know what to do. While it is important to know what to do, it is even more important to know at times like these, God can and is handling everything. He is so great that if you were to look at Him directly, you would immediately die. It would be thousands of times greater/brighter than looking at the sun with the naked eye. So, as we deal with hardship and setbacks, we need to be reminded that God is God. We can rely on Him to preserve us and all He has created.
“You are the Lord, you alone. You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and you preserve all of them; and the host of heaven worships you.
Pray with me:
Heavenly Father, restore in us the understanding of just how great and powerful You are. It will not be our strength which sustains us in these days, but rather Your supremacy in all things. We give You all the glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Yours because of Him,
Pastor John R. Steward
