2020 Daily Devotion - Day 91

Often, we hear people talking about why things are happening the way they happen. Sometimes, people even apply their own insights to God and His actions in our lives and the world. Then at other times, we realize we don’t understand anything. However, it is vital to know that our loving Heavenly Father always has a plan to manage the terrible ramifications of our broken world. He looks at thing from a different perspective; through the lens of the everlasting and His almighty power.

Isaiah 55:8-9 NRSV
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Pray with me:
Heavenly Father, sometimes things do not make a great deal of sense. You don’t react the way we would. Help us to know, this day, that even when we don’t understand, You have a plan to see us through and bring healing to our lives. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Yours because of Him,
Pastor John R. Steward
