2020 Daily Devotion - Day 80

People keep asking if we are entering a “new normal”. Some have written going forward, we will not be shaking hands. More people will be wearing masks during the flu season. Others project there will be a big permanent shift for people to keep working from home. There are many new businesses starting up to help equip us for these kinds of changes, if they should come about.

Change is very difficult for most people. We resist it and fight against it. We tend to appreciate, so much more, the routines we have always practiced. Routine helps to keep us grounded, so we often resist change. Many times I have said, “The only one who enjoys change is a baby.” But even if the world changes, there is good news because God never ever changes. He is faithful and consistent every time and all of the time.

Malachi 3:6 ESV
“For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed.

Pray with me:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for never changing. With so much change in the world, we can become lost and most likely “consumed” without Your consistent presence. Comfort our hearts today with the knowledge of You never changing. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Yours because of Him,
