2020 Daily Devotion - Day 53
Martin Luther once said, “Pray, and let God worry.”
What did he mean? Simply when we pray, we must give the problem over to God. Too often, we hold on to the problem, even after we have given it to God. But because God is Almighty, we really can trust it all to Him. We can let go, and in so doing, find lasting peace. This is what God said through the Prophet Isaiah.
Isaiah 30:15a
For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.
Pray with me:
Heavenly Father, help us to hand over our worries to You. Empower us to really let go and allow You to take care of what burdens us, and in so doing, we’ll find lasting peace. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
